It was a miracle that the match went ahead as torrential rain from Storm Darragh had turned the Clock House pitch into a quagmire. The Counts put up a stirring performance and converted tries from Joe Henderson and Brendan Murphy, along with two conversions and a penalty from Hal Mogridge were a decent reward for their efforts. However, they were matched by a brace of tries from the Police, and two penalties and a conversion were enough to enable them to win by a single point.
Next Saturday, Walcountians take on Old Blues at Clock House in a match they must win to stay clear of the two relegation places. Kick-off is at 2pm.
Old Walcountians:- Mogridge, Togbolah, Moorhead, Stevens (P), Murphy, Chmielinski, Bacon, Tilleray, Stevens (S), Bell, Lawrence, Thomas, Camakamma, Henderson, Sanders.
Subs:- Antanythasan, Bateman, Ford.
